Raleigh, North Carolina — Missy McLamb, principal
owner of Missy McLamb Photographers, announces the opening of a
new studio in the historic Pilot Mill building in downtown Raleigh.
The Pilot Mill space not only functions as a productive
work environment for our growing photography agency but inspires
our creativity. We are happy to be part of the revitalization of
downtown Raleigh,” stated, Missy McLamb.
Located near Peace College, Pilot Mill stands as one
of the most successful large-scale historic rehabilitation projects
in North Carolina. The former cotton mill now houses Raleigh Charter
High School and several other tenants. Recently, Pilot Mill received
the Capital Area Preservation’s Anthemion Award and the Sir
Walter Raleigh Award for Community Appearance.
Missy McLamb Photographers have experience in
a variety of photo disciplines but are rooted most strongly in photojournalism.
As photojournalists, they consider themselves observers rather than
participants but focus on capturing artistic moments.
Missy McLamb Photographers' images regularly
appear in the editorial pages of Martha Stewart Weddings, The New
York Times and The Washington Post. Missy and her associates employ
an unobtrusive approach and combine documentary and fine art imagery
with classic portraiture in both black and white and color photographs.
